Can you paint a ping pong table?

Can you paint a ping pong table?

You can,but you'd want to make sure not to change the integrity of the playing field. If you used a brush, say, you'd have brush-strokes, which could cause a funny bounce. Likewise, if you used a roller with a large nap, you could leave texturing, which may again cause a funny bounce.
