Table Tennis rules ?? Ping pong?
During a rally, when the ball hits on your side and you are too far back, can't reach the ball, can you let go of your racket to hit the ball?
in other words can you throw your racket at the ball when you can't reach it?
understand my question???
can you prove your answer
From past tournament experiences(ping pong tournaments),I have learned that your racquet cannot leave your hands as or after making contact with the ball.Just to make sure, I would look up the rules of Ping Pong maybe on wikipedia.

Not in tennis but yes in Ping Pong. The only problem is you are now paddle less and unable to play the next ball returned over the net by you opponent so just concede the point and be a man about it.

Actually, the racket must be in your racket hand to hit the ball legally; however, you can also use your racket hand, below the wrist to hit the ball as well.
This quote is seen on many sites that explain the rules:
"A player strikes the ball if he touches it in play with his racket, held in the hand, or with his racket hand below the wrist."
